About "Ordinary Time"...

In Christian tradition, “Ordinary Time” refers to those Sundays of the church year when there are no special holidays or seasons like Advent or Lent. Although the name technically comes from the fact these Sundays are named with “ordinal numbers” e.g. one, two, three etc. as opposed to “cardinal numbers” such as first, second, third etc., I like to think that it also refers to the ordinary, normal days of our lives when we are simply going about the business of daily life. In my blog “Ordinary Time,” I make observations of a semi-spiritual nature from under the wing of the Divine on everything from what my obstreperous Abyssinian cats are doing to walking through the grief after the death of my mother. Come join me in my Ordinary Time!

About Me

I am an author, editor and blogger at Woodeene.com where I write about "Ordinary Time" and the intersection of the daily with the divine. I've published nearly a dozen non-fiction books, edited a national magazine, written hundreds of magazine and newspaper articles and served as a fairy bookmother/midwife to dozens of authors and their books. People who have worked with me say that I am able to create “magic” by helping authors express their ideas better than they ever dreamed possible. My special areas of emphasis are spirituality, self-help and parenting issues, although I have worked on topics as far ranging as symbolic logic and astronomy.
